Douchebag Brian Doyle

A few weeks ago, I called Department of Homeland Security Deputy Press Secretary Brian Doyle a douchebag.

Well, now that he's been arrested and charged with 23 felony counts for trying to seduce a detective posing as a 14-year-old girl over the Internet, I must amend that to "alleged douchebag."

Oh come on the girl is a terrorist. She was going to Google this county to its knees.

George Bush would not ut anyone in office who was not of the highest moral fiber.

Hilarious. The guy thinks he's talking to a 14-year-old girl, so he sends her his home phone, his cell phone and pictures of himself in his DHS office with his DHS badge on. Good thing he had no launch codes.

And he worked for the TSA before this! Think he might be easily blackmailable?

I don't know who in Bush's world is of the lowest character:

Internet Child Molestor Guy

Target Shoplift Guy

Money Laundering/Golf Trip Guy

Screw the Troops Guy

Lie About the Aluminum Tubes While I Out a CIA Agent Guy

or I Shot an Old Man in the Face Guy.

Oh, wait, we have a winner:

The Wife Who Killed Her Boyfriend

Brian Doyle, interviewed by intrepid reporters of the National Nitwit, announced today that this was all a "misunderstanding."

Another contender for the lowest character (or more accurately, most fatal character flaw) in Bush's world might be his chronic, check-your-brain-at-the-door defenders, who can never ever admit that they were dead wrong and continue to be dead wrong. yay!

Subcomandante,
As Bill Maher pointed out, any middle-aged civil servant who thinks a 14-year-old girl would be turned on by a middle-aged civil servant is too dumb to be guarding our security.

peeky,

What I find most tragic about die-hard Bush defenders is that they seem to suffer from battered wife syndrome. The more you point out that Bush lied to them or abused their trust, the more they say things like, "Well, he knows best" or "History will bear him out" or "That's all lies" or other stuff... all the equivalent of the woman with the black eye saying "He swears he'll change" or "I shouldn't make him angry."

It's useless to reason with those people. They're reacting not from logic, but from their own dysfunction.
