IM clients are notoriously notorious. They are full of irritating spyware, obnoxious trayware, annoying messages, unwanted toolbars, and other blights. All-in-one solutions like Adium and Trillian are great, but they are, after all, still software you have to install... and don't you have enough of those? Besides, Web 2.x is all about doing it web-style.
That's where meebo comes in. Just go to meebo.com and you can access your IM without downloading or installing software. Very handy when you're sneaking in a conversation at someone else's computer, Sydney Bristow-style.

You dream your whole life of winning an Academy Award. Year after year you watch the show, looking longingly at the gold statuette. It's the most beautiful, unattainable thing you can imagine, and if you could just hold it in your hands you'd be happy.
Then you win, you get to the stage, you turn around... and there, in the front row, is Beyoncé. She's right over there... and you're stuck over here, lugging this stupid hunk of metal.
